Andrea’s role at Honey Shine included overseeing fund development, programming, and community outreach. She spent over five years with Honey Shine advancing from a program manager role to director and doubling the size of the program.

She has volunteered for the Town of Miami Lakes’ Economic Development Committee with her most recent role as chair since 2012. Andrea is also a proud board member of Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida, helping further their mission of developing young girls to become strong leaders in the South Florida Community.
Andrea earned her master’s degree in Nonprofit Management at The New School for Public Engagement in New York City and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado-Boulder, where she remains an active alumnus (Go Buffs!).
When not working, she can be found running all over Miami with her husband and two elementary-aged children, who keep their social calendars very full these days.
